Issues with Amazon/Ebay "Strip" LED Sidemarkers
These new "Strip" style LED lights have been becoming very popular and for good reason. They match the style and compliment our front signal kits very well. However they do seem to pose an issue with the LED's we use if our front signal kits. These WILL work with the addition of an LED load equalizer that can be typically found at most all part stores. If you have these installed or are installing them at the same time as our lights you need to wire in a resistor to your front signal harness.
One end of the resistor will need to be tapped into the parking light signal on the car side of the harness and the other end will need to be tapped into the ground signal on the car side of the harness. This seems to correct all issues related to these side markers. Some people have experienced their lights working with parking lights but not with signals and other have had the opposite. I installed these sidemarkers on my own car and found that the front lights would not work at all with the sidemarker plugged in at all. Adding in this resistor allowed all the lights to work together as intended.
These load resistors do put off some heat so make sure you mount them safely to a metal surface away from any plastic, example the crash support brace under the front bumper.
If you are not using these style sidemarkers and are using the supplied LED sidemarkers I send in the kits you should not have to worry about this issue!
If you have any other questions or feedback on your install please feel free to reach out via email or social media messaging and I will get back/try to help out any way I can!
